My name is Meghann Andreassen, and I am a businesswoman, author, musician, and personal success coach
Born and raised just outside of Portland, Oregon, I like to think that my diverse and unique set of interests and life experiences is what makes it possible f
or me to connect with almost anyone I meet. I’ve experienced many sides of life, growing up in a beautiful upper middle class lifestyle that enabled me to travel and enjoy some of life’s fi
ner things, and I’ve also taken risks a
s part of pursuing my dreams, living right on the poverty line.
A recovering addict, I am an advocate for all those in recovery, including those who have criminal records due to their struggles. This passion for helping and encouraging others is what started me on the path to sharing my story and ultimately coaching others toward success. I realized it wasn’t just those in recovery who could use
help from a coach to break through barriers and attain success.
I ultimately believe more than anything else that authenticity is what’s necessary for growth. Whether I’m interacting with friends, collaborating with colleagues on a business venture, or working with my clients on their goals, I always encourage and demonstrate total transparency and honesty about the good, the bad, and the ugly in life. I bring the same transparency to my writing, delving fearlessly into my mistakes and disappointments as much as I write about my successes. This allows me to connect with a wide, diverse, and wonderful readership, as well as helping both current and potential new clients get to know me on a deeper level.
Currently I’m involved in several different projects and ventures
As a personal success coach, I work with clients from all walks of life on their road to happiness.
I am also the Chief Operations Officer for Lasting Connections, an elite matchmaking and image consulting company helping singles across the country connect with their life partners. I love mywork with this company as it enables me to meet incredible people every day on their own personal journeys to finding lasting love.
I’m an author with several
memoir-related projects currently in the works, and many excerpts and samples of this writing can be found on my blog where I try to post as close to daily as my schedule allows.
And finally, I’m the founder of The Naked Hour, a community I ultimately want to develop into either a podcast or a radio show that is all about educating one another on the issues of the day, along with all the different perspectives on those issues. I firmly believe the more we understand one another, the easier it is to have meaningful, productive conversations with one another that can lead to positive changes in the world.
Long term I hope to attain enough success to create nonprofits that focus on working with recovering addicts and others trying o reintegrate successfully into society, as well as working with young women and girls from difficult backgrounds in order to give them the confidence and skill sets necessary to succeed in life in whatever fields they enjoy most.
When I’m not working on one of my many projects, I enjoy traveling, reading one of the man books in my to-be-read pile, scuba diving, surfing, trying new restaurants, dancing, seeing the latest plays and movies, and spending time with the people who bring me fulfillment and joy. I love playing and watching sports, and am an avid supporter of the University of Oregon Ducks and the Greenbay Packers. I’ve got a nerdy side that loves Star Trek, Game of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings, and I still fantasize about publishing a fantasy novel one day in addition to my memoir writing. As space travel becomes more accessible to the general public, you can bet I’ll be one of the first people with a ticket on a space shuttle, and ultimately I hope to have set foot on every continent in the world by the end of my life.
